Baronial Acres Grange
The Sanctuary of the Poultry Palace
Upon the lush, sunlit terraces of Baronial Acres, our heritage flock lives as poultry were meant to live—in harmony with the soil, the changing seasons, and the gentle rhythm of the estate. Housed within our timber-crafted Poultry Palace, our birds dwell amidst deep, fragrant wheat straw bedding, elevated roosts, and mountain-fresh water traps.
By day, they range unhindered through protected orchard runs and verdant fruit tree alleys, turning over the rich earth, foraging native clover and flora, and nourishing their bodies on certified organic grains, garden greens, and spent sprouted grains from our wood-fired Masonry Bakehouse.
Heritage Lineages & Historic Fowls
Carefully selected for their historic lineage, calm temperaments, and vibrant basket artistry, our flock offers a culinary experience rooted in antiquity:
Speckled Sussex
The Tudor Foundation LayerAn authentic British heritage breed hailing from the historic county of Sussex. These noble, gentle fowls spend their days spading orchard understories, laying rich, light-tan hearth eggs with exceptional yolk depth.
Dominique
The Colonial Hawk-Patterned BreedDescended directly from the hawk-patterned farmyard fowls brought to North America by early English settlers. Their dense, weather-proof plumage shields them against damp coastal rain, yielding deep amber eggs.
Cinnamon Queen
The Bakehouse Golden LayerOur prized production layers, ensuring a steady, golden harvest of large brown eggs destined for our sourdough brioche, velvet custards, and egg-washed hearth pastries.
Easter Eggers
The Rainbow JewelAgile, inquisitive foragers that grace our Guild baskets with visual magic, laying eggs of brilliant mint-green and sky-blue.
Pioneer Pasture Broilers
Forgot are the watery, fast-grown birds of modern industry. Our table poultry consists of slow-growing Pioneer Red Rangers, moved daily across fresh orchard pasture in mobile shelter pens under the open sky.
Over active weeks on grass, they develop a firm muscle structure, deep golden fat distribution, and a rich, traditional flavor profile reminiscent of historic wood-fired feasts, savory pasties, and slow-simmered bone broths.

The 10% Tithe & Closed-Loop Ethos
The Community Tithe: In keeping with our ancient Grange Charter, 10% of every egg harvested and 10% of every pasture broiler raised are set aside as an un-invoiced tithe, gifted directly to local food pantries and community hearths to ensure our neighbors eat well.
Masonry Bakehouse Synergy: Fresh eggs supply the Grange Bakehouse for rich brioche doughs, fruit tarts, and glazes. In return, spent sprouted grains, flour siftings, and crusts are returned to the flock, completing the closed-loop circle of life on the estate.
