Creed, Tithing & Membership
Our foundational agrarian principles, the 10% harvest tithing covenant, and direct-to-consumer member participation in North Plains, Oregon.
← Return to Grange HomepageBaronial Acres Grange is built upon an enduring covenant: that human labor, when combined with natural stewardship and agrarian artistry, should glorify the land and nourish the community. We do not view farming as a industrial extraction, but as a sacred relationship between soil, livestock, and steward.
Our operating framework is simple and transparent. We do not participate in commercial grocery distribution. Instead, all hearth breads, raw creamery shares, seasonal produce, and seedstock are shared directly with our registered association members.
I. The Agrarian Creed
Utility & Artistry
We pledge that every loaf from our hearth, every wheel from our creamery, and every cultivar from our fields shall reflect both uncompromised utility and Old-World craftsmanship.
Soil Stewardship
We enrich our Washington County ground exclusively through natural cover crops, composted animal bedding, and basalt minerals—never synthetic fertilizers or chemical sprays.
Livestock Integrity
We treat our registered herds as living inheritances. Built over 25+ years of selection, we prioritize structural longevity, maternal instincts, and pasture hardiness over forced speed.
Direct Patronage
We distribute all harvests directly to our members under the Oregon Farm Direct Marketing Law, bypassing industrial middlemen to ensure maximum freshness and accountability.
II. The 10% Harvest Tithing Covenant
In keeping with ancient monastic grange traditions, **Baronial Acres Grange tithes 10% of every seasonal yield**. Before member allocations or seedstock sales are distributed, one-tenth of our wood-fired sourdough loaves, raw creamery dairy, seasonal field vegetables, and orchard fruits is set aside for local North Plains families, rural neighbors, and community food pantries.
"A grange that does not nourish its surrounding community has lost its true reason for being."
III. Membership Structure
The Founders Circle Guild
Capped at exactly 100 patron members. Secures a **guaranteed 30% price reduction** across all hearth breads, raw creamery shares, seasonal garden produce, and livestock seedstock for 5 full seasons (through 2032).
Annual Grange Membership
The mandatory direct-to-consumer membership required under Oregon Farm Direct Marketing Law. Grants direct farmstand pickup access for weekly bread, dairy, and seasonal vegetable shares.

"Utility without artistry is mere industry. Artistry without utility is mere decoration."
